Indonesia, Savu, probably mid 20th c.196 x 101 cm
Cotton, multicolored warp Ikat. Sewn together lengthwise from two panels of unequal width. Twisted warp fringes. Nine wide bands of cream floral motifs on a dark brown background, type Hube Ae. Secondary stripes black and red.
From a Swiss private collection, acquired in the 1980s/1990s - Cf. Pusaka collection, inv. no. 030 Savu Group
The textile has a rather soft feel, the colors are somewhat faded from use
